Q. Can I have a free try out to see if I like tennis before enrolling in lessons?
A. All new students are required to have a trial hit with a coach before entering the coaching program with Vassallo Tennis. This trial gives coaches the opportunity to grade players and place them into a class that is suitable to their current abilities. The trial hit is organised by appointment with Vassallo Tennis. Q. I’ve registered as a Member and paid my fees, how long do I have to wait to access the courts?
A. The application process will usually take 24 hours. An account will automatically be created in Book A Court to access the Mill Park and South Morang courts.
Q. I’ve booked and paid to hire a court on Book A Court when will I receive my access PIN?
A. Please allow up to 15 minutes for the access PIN to be emailed to you.
Q. Do I need to be a member to have tennis lessons?
A. No, you do not need to be member to have tennis lessons.
Q. Do I need to be a member to join a team to play competition tennis?
A. Yes, you must be a member of Mill Park Tennis Club to play in a team. Please refer to our Membership page for fees.
Q. Do I need to be a member to use the courts?
A. No, Members have access as part of their membership however non-members can hire the courts at both locations (Mill Park and South Morang). Please refer to our court hire fees for non-members and under lights fees for members and non-members.
Q. How do I gain access to the courts for social or practice hitting?
A. You can access the courts at Mill Park and South Morang through our Book A Court system. Please refer to our court hire page for more details.
Q. I’m a member but I am being charged for light hire?
A. Correct, your membership does not cover the cost of court light hire. Members receive a discounted hourly rate for light hire.
Q. How can I access the club rooms?
A. Club room use is for competition only.
Q. Who do I contact about competition?
A. The club has a junior, senior (night) and mid-week ladies co-ordinators. Please refer to the Junior Competition or Senior Competition page for contact details.
Q. I have punched my access code into the keypad at the court but the lock is not releasing. How do I get in?
A. You have 15 minutes prior to the booking and 15 minutes after the booking, to use the access code to gain entry. If you are too early or too late, you access code will not work.
Q. I paid for lights and they have not turned on. How do I get the lights to turn on?
A. Our lights operate when the lux reader tells them it is dark enough to turn on. And the club pre-programs the system to charge for lights, when they guess the light will be too dark to play tennis. It can be tricky to get the timing right on dusk.
