At this stage the DVTA intends to continue with all its competition matches. It is believed that the nature of DVTA competition matches is such that they present very little risk of players infecting one another.
Players may be required to modify some of their behaviours. For example,
- Not shaking hand but verbally acknowledging one’s opposition.
- Forgoing or modifying any post match social interaction
- Travelling to matches independently rather than sharing a car; particularly for junior matches.
If an individual player is concerned about playing then they should withdraw from the team and notify their Club accordingly. The Club can try to arrange alternative players.
